Rose’s first snow

Yesterday was our first Saturday in Germany, and we woke up to find the world had turned to white. Sure, I’ve seen snow before. I went on my year six trip to Jindbyne. Big patches of heavy, wet ice were all I’d ever seen. But this was something entirely different. A magic carpet of tiny white crystals. This probably sounds quite pathetic to someone who’s grown up in a cold climate. To those of you who have, consider, have you ever actually tried to describe snow? It’s somehow crunchy, soft, sticky, wet, dry, fluffy and heavy all at once. I now know why they use words like “blanket” and “powder”. Needless to say, it was memorable way to spend our one week anniversary!

    Hey there!

Can you get a cuter daughter? I highly doubt it. And to my “never seen real snow, living in a desert land from birth brain” the description of snow was very much appreciated!!
Talk to you soon I hope.
    Love Jules

    Hello Lovely!

Still very VERY jealous over here – can you stop sending pictures of snow?! My ski boot wounds are itching!

Can’t seem to find a spot to “follow” your blog on this wordpress one… I am a dummie, or is there a spot and I just can’t see it?

Aww… look at Rose. What a belle of the ball – Mika sends big sloppy ones. I really do think they’d make a smashing couple 🙂

Kisses to Mika from both of us xx. Though if Tony gets his way Rose will never date any boys, haha. You’re not a dummie, I am. I’ve now added the “follow me” option. Hope everything goes swimmingly for you this week. Love me x

How are you going lovely Ally? The photos are AMAZING and Rose could not look more adorable in all of her little winter knit wear which you’ve so cleverly made for her. I’m loving reading your stories and can’t wait to speak to you on skype soon.

    Lots and lots of love,
